WOOD & IRON BUSINESS T&C’S

Lizzie prides herself on her customer service and understanding what her customer wants. However it’s good to have some ground rules so you know what to expect!
For commissioned items most quotes will include all materials, paint/colour finish, initial site visit, labour and delivery. If there is anything extra it will clearly be set out in the individual quote you receive. The quote will be valid for 30 days. There is no vat to add.
Delivery can be made anywhere in the UK at a cost, quotation upon request. The period quoted for delivery is for guidance only. Wood & Iron does not accept responsibility for delays caused by mis-instruction, strikes, traffic conditions or adverse weather. Delay times may be extended during the holiday periods and workshop closures. Local delivery within a reasonable distance is free. All goods must be checked and signed for in the presence of the carrier. All goods must be inspected once removed from the packaging and Wood & Iron notified within 48hrs of delivery of any damage. Wood & Iron will ensure that goods are delivered in good order but cannot accept any responsibility of goods damaged after delivery. Upon agreement of a commission and design work an invoice will be sent for 100% payment up front for any commission or repair. The commencement of any work on any project will not be scheduled into the workload diary until 100% has been received through the bank and cleared. Payment can be accepted by bank transfer, credit or debit card and cash. Please note I no longer accept cheques. When delivery takes place all areas must be cleared and proper access given for delivery. All goods remain the property of Wood & Iron until paid in full. Wood and Iron will not accept the return of goods after 2 months of delivery without prior written acknowledgement. Items will only be considered for return if in the same condition as when delivered. Although Lizzie tries to make any commission work as near to the drawings / designs as possible, there is leave to interpret and change details according to artistic licence at any time and without prior notice. Please note some of my artistic work is a little abstract and you need to be happy to accept this prior to ordering a commission from me. Please note I retain copywrite over any designs produced by me. There is no charge for initial design work but if the project is booked and then cancelled for any reason a fixed charge of £50 for design work will be levied. Refunds for commission work will take into account any collection costs and whether the item is suitable for resale and will only be given if the finished item bears no relationship to the drawings or designs in any way, shape or form. A maximum of 50% refund will be given. A refund is not given in any circumstance if the client retains possession of the item. A refund will not be given if the customer doesn’t like the abstract result. Please note I do not do ‘rush’ jobs. I usually have a 6-8 week lead in time, during summer months this can extend to 12 weeks. I pride myself upon producing good work. Rushing and blacksmithing is just not a good marriage!
